Burial of late Engineer Joseph Asuquo Akpan of Ikot Mbuk-
Nsan, Ibiono Ibom has been fixed for this Friday.
He died at the age of sixty-one.
A statement announcing the burial signed by the Chief Mourner,
OduduAbasi Asuquo and made available to Society News says the
deceased until death was a devout member of the Apostolic
Church, Aka Assembly, Uyo.

The Statement indicates that the late Engineer Joseph Akpan was
an accomplished Technocrat, builder and administrator who
served in both Cross River and Akwa Ibom State Unified Local
Government Service for more than three decades.
According to the statement, the late Engineer Akpan rose to the
peak of his career as director of works in several local
government areas including, Esit Eket, Uruan, Itu, Okobo and was
also the Chief Executive officer, MAODUJOE International Limited
Uyo.
It describes the deceased as a sociable, disciplined man and
community mobilizer who contributed immensely to the
development of his people and community.
The late Engineer Joseph Akpan is survived by a wife, Children,
grandchildren, and other relatives to mourn the loss, among them
are Mrs. Mary Joseph Akpan, wife, Mary, Nsikanabasi Etuk,
Akamobong, Barrister Mkpoikana, OdoduAbasi, Edidiong, Barrister
Ubokobong Joseph Asuquo, Children Andikan, Idara-abasi,
Edidiong-Grandchildren and Mr. Nsikanabasi Ime Etuk, Son In-
law.
Service of songs: Thursday 19 th March, 2020, at the deceased
resident, Ikot Mbuk – Nsan, Ibiono by seven pm, Funeral service
on Friday, 20 th March, 2020 at Presbyterian Primary school, Nsan
Ibiono to be conducted by the Apostolic Church, Aka District.
