Director, News and Current Affairs

Born on May 2, 1960, he is an indigene of Okoro Nsit in Nsit Atai Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. After his primary education at Duke Town Primary school, Calabar, where he obtained his FSLC in 1972, he entered the Salvation Army School, Akai Ubium, Nsit Ubium LGA and obtained his WASC in 1978.

In 1980, he graduated from the School of Arts and Science, Uyo where he bagged the certificate in Basic Studies (Cambridge Moderated). He was employed in the Admin Department of the Nigerian Television Authority, Calabar, from where he was moved to the News Department in 1981.In 1985, he bagged his Bachelor’s Degree in Political science from the University of Jos and did his National Service in the then Imo State in1986. In 1997, he obtained a Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja.

He joined the services of Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation in 1990 as a news reporter and rose through the ranks by dint of hardwork to becoming the Director superintending over the Radio and Television News & Current Affairs Directorate. He has attended several courses including that in the NTA College, Jos. He has vast experience in Journalism practice. He has also been at various times Head, Reportorial Corps and Head, News and Current Affairs of the Television Department of the Corporation.  He currently anchors a class “A” personality programme on the AKBC TV -“CROSSHAIRS”.

Tee-Em as fondly called by friends and peers is a team player and is married with three children.
